In the 1920's people emerged in music, sports and literature, and became famous. They inspired others to pursue their dreams and make the 1920's entertaining. One very famous man in the 1920's was George Herman Ruth who was known as Babe Ruth. He was given the nickname the Bambino. Babe Ruth was an American Major Leauge baseball player from 1914-1935. He played for the New York Yankees and was one of the first five men to make it into the Hall of Fame. He was known for his batting average of .342 and his 714 home runs in his career. Babe Ruth dominated his era of baseball and entertained thousands in the 1920's. He is even considered the best baseball player in history!
There were also many actors and actresses emerging in the twenties. Once most known for his miming and acting, "Charlie Chaplin," was widely known all over the world. In his famous character, "The Little Tramp," he made many silent movies for audiences to enjoy. He made many movies in his time. One famous movie for him was called, "The Bond." Chaplin was instantly a star. There are many monuments to remember Chaplin's success, in America and also Great Britian.
